Step by Step
How each week works.
Onboarding Call
30 minutes — happens once
We schedule a 30-minute call before we write a single word. On it, we capture your firm's voice, the clients you write for, topics you want to cover (and avoid), any existing content you have, and your brand preferences.
We record and transcribe the call. Everything we need to sound like you lives in this document — it informs every edition we write, indefinitely.
If you already have past newsletters or a style guide, send them before the call. We'll arrive prepared.
Weekly Research & Draft
Every Tuesday — delivered Wednesday morning
Our content system monitors primary sources for your industry: regulatory bodies, trade associations, major journals, and government agencies. Every Monday, we pull the most relevant developments from the prior week.
A writer then builds a complete newsletter edition — typically 400–700 words across 3–5 content blocks. The draft goes through an editorial review pass for accuracy, tone alignment, and readability.
You receive the draft Wednesday morning with a short editor's note explaining what we covered and why.
Approve & Send
15 minutes — every week
Read the draft. If it's good to go, click approve and we send it from your ESP account on your schedule. If you want a change — a different intro, a different topic, a corrected fact — send us a note and we revise within 24 hours.
Most clients approve without changes after the first month. Once we know your voice and your clients' interests, the calibration is tight.
You never log into any dashboard. Approvals happen over email.
Content Repurposing
Already creating content? We amplify it.
If your firm produces content — YouTube videos, podcast episodes, blog posts, LinkedIn thought leadership — we treat that as raw material. We watch it, read it, and pull the most newsletter-worthy insights into each edition.
Your audience gets a curated digest of your own expertise, formatted for their inbox. Your existing content gets more mileage. And the newsletter feels unmistakably like you, because it is you.
No Existing Content?
We write from primary sources.
Most of our clients don't have a YouTube channel. That's fine. We source everything from your industry's primary publications: regulatory announcements, trade association updates, journal articles, and government guidance.
The result reads like you've spent 10 hours reading industry news so your clients don't have to — because we have.
What to Expect
Week by week.
Week 1
Onboarding
Onboarding call. We capture your voice, audience, preferences. ESP connected. No newsletter sent yet — we're building the foundation.
Week 2
First Draft
Your first newsletter draft arrives Wednesday. Review it, send notes if needed, approve. First edition goes out.
Month 1
Calibration
Four editions in. You'll likely have sent a few rounds of notes. By week four, we know your voice well enough that approvals take under 5 minutes.
Month 3
Momentum
Clients are replying. Open rates are stabilizing. You stop thinking about the newsletter because it just happens — and you're getting credit for it.
Source Quality
We pull from sources your clients already trust.
Generic business newsletters are useless. Your clients read your newsletter because the content is specific to their world. Here's a sample of what we monitor:
| Industry | Primary Sources We Monitor |
|---|---|
| Accounting & Tax | IRS.gov, AICPA, Tax Foundation, Journal of Accountancy |
| Financial Advisors | SEC.gov, FINRA, CFP Board, Financial Planning magazine |
| Law Firms | ABA Journal, Westlaw summaries, state bar publications, law.com |
| MSPs & IT | CISA advisories, Kaseya blog, Channel Futures, CompTIA |
| Insurance Agencies | NAIC, Insurance Journal, state DOI bulletins |
| HR & Payroll | SHRM, DOL, IRS payroll updates, HR Dive |
| Cybersecurity | CISA, NIST, Krebs on Security, Dark Reading |
| Commercial Real Estate | CoStar, CCIM Institute, NAR commercial, Globe St. |
+ 12 more industries. Each niche has its own monitored source list.
FAQ
Process questions.
What happens if I don't like the first draft?
You send us one round of notes and we revise. Most firms rarely need changes after the first few editions — we calibrate your voice quickly from the onboarding call and early feedback.
Can you match our existing newsletter style?
Yes. Send us past editions you like and we'll reverse-engineer the format, section structure, and tone. We've matched everything from formal financial advisory newsletters to casual SaaS roundups.
How do you find the content each week?
Our system monitors primary sources for your industry — regulatory bodies, trade associations, major publications, and court or agency rulings. We curate and write around the most relevant developments each week.
What if I already have a newsletter and want to switch?
We can take over an existing newsletter with minimal disruption. Share your template, archive, and subscriber list — we'll match the format and your subscribers won't notice the transition.
How do you handle my subscriber list data?
Your list is yours. We send through your ESP account (not ours), so you always own the relationship and the data. We never store subscriber emails on our systems.
What's the turnaround if I have a change request?
Revisions are completed within 24 hours. If your send day is Friday and you send notes Thursday morning, you'll have the revised edition by end of day Thursday.
